Google has now begun selling Fitbit smartwatches and fitness trackers through the Google Store in Australia.

The Google Store now includes a Fitbit category alongside the existing Pixel and Nest devices, with four devices available to buy. Fitbit smartwatches and trackers appeared on the US Google Store in February, not long after Google announced that their $2.1 billion USD acquisition of Fitbit was complete in January

Google did add Fitbit to the site earlier this year, however Australian customers shopping on the Australian Google Store were directed to the fitbit.com/global/au/ to purchase a Fitbit, but Google will now let you choose from four devices.

The Google Store now offers both the Both the Fitbit Versa 3 and Sense Smartwatches, as well as the Inspire 2 and Charge 4 fitness bands with free shipping included. It will pay to check around though, with the Google Store showing the RRP for all four models, while the Fitbit Australia website is showing some fairly healthy discounts.

The Google Store still links to the Fitbit website for services like Fitbit Premium, as well as for those wanting ‘More Fitbit products’, which looks to include accessories like interchangeable straps and chargers which are still only available through the Fitbit website.

There’s also no sign of the latest Fitbit tracker, the fashion focused Luxe which was announced last month, but in these early stages of integrating the Fitbit line into the Google hardware family it could take a little bit.
