Lenovo has today unveiled their new range of ultra-slim, premium Yoga laptops, with the new range offering high-end specs including AMD and Intel processors and displays ranging from 14-inch to 16-inch in size.

Alongside the Yoga laptop range, Lenovo is also announcing a new Yoga All-in-One (AiO) desktop PC, the Yoga AIO 7 with 27” 4K display. Lenovo has also announced their  latest software application product: Lenovo Smart Lock Services, a cloud based security software for users to protect their PC in the event of theft.

Yoga Slim 9i 

Starting off the announcement is the Yoga Slim 9i, which carries certification as a carbon neutral-certified laptop by TÜV Rheinland. 

The laptop includes a large 14” display in 16:0 aspect ratio with either 2.8K or 4K resolutions and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. There’s options for 12th gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and 16GB or 32GB  of DDR5 memory and 512GB/1TB of M.2 SSD storage.

At this stage, Lenovo doesn’t have any pricing or release dates announced for the Yoga Slim 9i, but we’ll find out more closer to launch.

Yoga Slim 7 Pro X and Yoga Slim 7i  Pro X 

Next up is the Yoga Slim 7 Pro X and Yoga Slim 7i Pro X. The difference between the models is the use of either Intel or AMD processors, with the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro X offering options for Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, while the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro X offers a choice from AMD Ryzen 5, 7 or 9 series HS processors.

Lenovo is offering the Slim 7 Pro X/Slim 7i Pro X with up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM, as well as up to 1TB of M.2 SSD PCIe Gen 4 Storage. There’s also additional graphics power available with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU with NVIDIA Studio validation included.

Weighing in at just 1.6Kg, the Lenovo Slim 7/Slim 7i Pro X models are a lightweight powerhouse that lets you create content wherever you are.

Lenovo has advised that the Yoga Slim 7 Pro X and Yoga Slim 7i Pro X will be available in Cloud Grey or Stone Blue colour options. Details for the launch of the Slim 7 Pro X and Slim 7i Pro X will be confirmed with ANZ pricing and availability to follow.

Yoga Slim 7 Pro and Yoga Slim 7i Pro

Also announced is the Yoga Slim 7 and 7i Pro which will be available with either 14-inch or 16-inch displays in a variety of resolutions and refresh rates up to . 

A range of Intel Processors is available for both 14-inch and 16-inch models of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro, while a range of AMD Ryzen processors have been announced for the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro. 

Lenovo is offering a variety of different display options for the Slim 7 Pro and Slim 7i Pro rangem, depending on screen size.  The 14” Yoga Slim 7i will offer up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050, while the Yoga Slim 7 Pro will include AMD Radeon 600M series graphics. In the 16” range, the Slim 7i Pro will include Intel Arc A370M graphics, while the AMD powered Slim 7 Pro will offer up to RTX 3050Ti graphics. 

Memory ranges from 8GB up to 32GB, with options for storage up to a 1TB M.2 Gen 4 PCIe drive.

No pricing or launch dates have been announced for the Yoga Slim 7 Pro and Yoga Slim 7i Pro but we’ll find out more closer to launch

Yoga Slim 7i Carbon

Offering more for those wanting to get things done on the go, anywhere from the living room to the office, the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon offers a light and thin option with plenty of power.

Featuring a lightweight chassis made from aerospace-grade aluminium with multi-layered carbon fibre, the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon weighs in at under 1Kg with a 14.8mm thin profile. It’s plenty powerful as well, with options for 12th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processors and up to 32GB RAM and up to a 1TB M.2 SSD. 

The laptop includes a 16:10 aspect ratio, 13.3” touch display in the compact body, which also includes an edge-to-edge keyboard and spacious trackpad making for a comfortable workhorse to take on the road.

There’s no announcements on availability or pricing for the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon but Lenovo say it will be available in ‘Three contemporary two-tone color options’. We’ll let you know more on the release as it’s announced.

Lenovo Yoga 7

For those wanting an entertainment and creativity machine, the Lenovo Yoga 7 is the machine for you. Featuring a 2-in-1, multi-mode design, the Yoga 7 includes a 14-inch, 2.8K OLED display in 16:10 aspect ratio powered by an AMD Ryzen 6000 series processor. 

There’s plenty of power available with options for either a Ryzen 5 or Ryzen 7 processors and AMD Radeon 600M graphics. You’ll be able to get up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, and add up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM.

Featuring Dolby Vision support on the display, and Dolby Atmos support for the quad-speaker setup, the Yoga 7 is a great entertainment machine. There’s support for up to 20 hours of FHD video playback, with Rapid Charge Express letting you charge up to: 3 Hours in just 15 minutes.

There’s again no announcement for pricing or availability, but the Yoga 7 will be available in Stone Blue or Storm Grey colour options and we’ll let you know when they’re available.

Yoga AIO 7 

Finally, the Yoga AIO 7 desktop, an All-in-One design aimed at saving you space but giving you power to create.

Allowing for flexibility, the large, 27-inch 4K IPS narrow-bezel display is mounted on a flexible hinge design that can be rotated 90-degrees as well as lifted up and tilted to let you display your work as you want it.

Inside, the Yoga AIO 7 includes AMD Ryzen 7 6800H or AMD Ryzen 5 6600H processor options with up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage and up to 32GB of DDR5 RAM. 

Fortunately, Lenovo has some local launch info for the Yoga AIO 7, advising the Yoga AIO 7 (27”, 7) starts at $2,699 AUD / $3,199 NZD, and is expected to be available starting September 2022 in AU and October 2022 in NZ

Lenovo Smart Lock Services

Lenovo has also announced their Smart Lock Services, a cloud based security system designed to let you remotely locate, lock, wipe or restrict access to your laptop in the event it’s ever stolen.


The system is powered by Absolute and can be accessed via Lenovo Vantage and Lenovo.com and you can track and locate the last known location of your laptop using a web browser or mobile app. Lenovo Smart Lock Services also includes access to Absolute’s dedicated Investigations team that works closely with local law enforcement to try to track it down says Lenovo.
