F1 2012 launching September 20

I pity the partners of certain EFTM editors on the night of September 20. Because that’s the day the next F1 game comes out, and it’s safe to say that there won’t be much in the way of conversation at the dinner table that night in the Long and Francis households.

Launching on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, the game is the latest in the ongoing F1 series from Codemasters. While it will have plenty of racing action for old F1 hats like Damo and Trev, it also has a pretty awesome training mode for novices like myself, teaching players the nuances of an F1 car.

Codemasters has released this developer diary to explain the new Young Driver Mode, which kind of has me feeling like I might be able to enjoy the racing simulator.

With all the official teams and drivers from the 2012 F1 championship, and including the new Austin, Texas track and Germany’s Hockenheim track, it’s going to be a must-buy for F1 fans.
