Ahh that sweet scent of familiarity. Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab S7 – a device that has a familiar look to its biggest Pro competitor, and a familiar size too. But also more than a touch of Samsung’s forward thinking innovation.

The Galaxy Tab S7 will be the first 5G tablet in Australia, and when you think about the potential for an always connected tablet with laptop-like features it really can be your all day workhorse.

With an S Pen in the box, the Galaxy Tab S7 is designed to be used as a notepad, a canvas, an expression of your own needs for work and play.

Like the Galaxy Note 20 the Tab S7’s S Pen interaction is improved with greater responsiveness and lower lag.

Hook up the optional Book Cover Keyboard and you’re really looking at a laptop replacement. Switch to DeX and this works just like a laptop with windowed apps, a taskbar and all you want from your laptop.

Plug a monitor in and you’re really at work.

The two variants are 11 inch and 12.4 inch – with quad speakers tuned by AKG for those great video streaming moments.

Aussie App Canva took centre stage at the Unpacked event with their app built to work well on the Tab S7, and some exclusive design templates available to Galaxy Tab S7 owners.

As well as 5G you’ve got WiFi 6 on board, and with the power under the hood, the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ are able to run 100 Xbox games via the cloud gaming service Xbox Game Pass.

Garry McGregor, Vice President, Mobile Division, Samsung Electronics Australia says

Galaxy Tab S7 is the ultimate productivity tool for Australians on-the-go. We have seen the tablet market evolve in recent years to where the tablet has become the go-to device to maximise the work-life balance.

“With the Tab S7, we’re able to offer people Australia’s the first 5G enabled tablet, bringing a new level of connectivity and possibility to the category. Whether people are streaming the latest from Netflix or pursuing creative passions using the S Pen to bring an artistic vision to life, the Tab S7 is the ideal versatile companion.

We know our customers value the S Pen and all it allows them to do. For Tab S7, we have enhanced the S Pen, improving latency and intuition. The Tab S7 will provide PC-level power with tablet portability; our DeX software enables Tab S7 to become the ultimate remote working tool, keeping people connected and productive no matter where the office is that day.

The entire experience of using the Tab S7 is improved thanks to our insights-lead innovations and ongoing partnerships with Google, Microsoft, Spotify and Netflix. We’re also thrilled to announce new exclusive partnerships with local start-up wonderkid, Canva, and Clip Studio Paint, taking the creative capabilities of the device to the next level. For the gamers, our partnership with Microsoft will allow people to stream their xCloud game library, straight to the Tab S7.”
