It’s a brave new world at retailers across Australia and around the world. New ways to do business have popped up and Telstra is trialling something new and exciting with free 2-hour delivery for Samsung and Apple handsets now available through select stores.

Michael Ackland, Consumer & Small Business Executive, Telstra said that changes to retail brought about by COVID had inspired Telstra to invest in new customer experiences across a range of channels.

During COVID, our Call & Collect options have taken off. Customers are looking for more ways to shop; more offers and more immediacy and that is why we have introduced Telstra Day, and now we are introducing superfast delivery to give our customers more of what they want”.

There are 25 stores participating in the program across Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide, which is being run in partnership with courier Zoom2U.

Orders for your new phone – you can also add accessories for your new phone – can be placed directly with participating stores across those cities through a 1800 number, though obviously orders have to be placed at least 2 hours before the store closes.

Of course there’s some security protocols in place to keep your order safe. To place an order you need to be the account owner of an existing Telstra post-paid account for at least 6 months and live in an eligible postcode in those cities.

The orders will also have to be sent to the billing address on the account, and the account owner will need to sign for it with a pre agreed 4-digit pin and your ID.

Orders can be tracked through a link sent via SMS when you place your order, meaning you can watch your delivery heading straight to your door in real time.

Telstra is starting with deliveries from stores, but is hoping to expand the delivery service to call centre and online orders.

Full details can be found on the Telstra website through or you can call the stores directly from the list below.
