Samsung has today announced their new Neo QLED, MICRO LED and Samsung OLED line-ups with the new models increasing the focus of personalised experiences and connectivity through Samsung’s SmartThings.

The new Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs provide a premium experience to the user with an improved display thanks to Samsung’s Neural Quantum Processor.  This allows improved 14-bit processing and AI upscaling for new features such as Shape Adaptive Light Control and Real Depth Enhancer Pro resulting in an improved picture quality.

The 2023 Neo QLEDs also uses AI to analyse and apply HDR effects on SDR content in real time and on a scene-by-scene basis.    This Auto HDR Remastering results in a more immersive SDR content than ever before.

For connectivity to your smart home, Samsung has included a SmartThings Zigbee & Matter Thread One-Chip Module which will be built directly into Samsung products in 2023.  This allows for not just easier control of your Samsung devices but also third-party smart home devices.

MICRO LED and Samsung OLED

The MICRO LED line-up offers multiple models from 50-inches up to 140-inches giving users greater choice for an improved picture quality and experience.  The MICRO LED are modular and are customisable to the shape, size and ratio the user wants and arrive without bezels for that seamless experience.

Samsung’s 2023 OLED line-up now includes 55, 65, and 77-inch models and all include Samsung’s latest Quantum Dot technology and Neural Quantum Processors to provide the usual OLED brightness and colours.

The OLEDs come with a 144Hz refresh rate and all of the smart features including the Samsung Gaming Hub and now support AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro certification for that improved gaming experience.

More new Samsung TV experiences

The Samsung Gaming Hub is the new home for gaming on Samsung TVs and offers users access to many of their favourite games from platforms such as Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna and Utomik with no downloads or consoles required.

Along with the new TVs Samsung has also introduced new soundbars, the HW-Q990C and the HW-S800B for powerful, immersive sound that fits seamlessly with your Samsung TV. The Samsung flagship HW-Q990C soundbar will be available in Australia in Q1 2023. The ultra-slim HW-S800B is currently available in Australia.

Samsung’s 2023 TV line-up can also be mounted with an Auto Rotating Wall Mount & Stand, bringing the vertical media viewing experience to other TVs, including The Frame and Neo QLEDs.

Jeremy Senior, VP – Consumer Electronics, Samsung Australia said of the announcement:

“Samsung’s 2023 AV line-up offers versatility in design and functionality without compromising on the best-in-class picture quality and immersive sound. This means Australians have a wide number of options when it comes to displays and projectors so they can find the right one that suits their personal entertainment experiences, passions and lifestyle.

“Beyond large screen sizes, cinematic sound, and premium picture quality, our open platform, sustainability, and flexibility are what set’s our TV apart.
