So, you’ve heard the news – Telstra is releasing 5G devices to the public – 5G is real!

With a HTC Hub being a way to get internet into your home or perhaps on the go as its battery powered, and Samsung, LG and Oppo all releasing 5G enabled smartphones – the biggest question is; Will 5G work in my area?

5G is very new, and a whole lot of mobile towers need upgrading, and many more will need to be built – and that’s going to take years.

But for now, it’s happening in small patches across various Cities.

Those cities are Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Gold Coast, Hobart, Launceston, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney & Toowoomba.

Telstra has published detailed maps that show their coverage as it will be at the end of June – the actual coverage is even smaller than this right now.

Check your area on these maps – the Green is 4G coverage, the Purple is 5G:
