Traffic updates on GPS devices have been around for years now, so it’s kind of surprising that it’s only just been announced that the 2013 range of Porsches will get the SUNA traffic channel.

Given the amount of cash you need to drop to buy a new Porsche, something as basic as traffic updates seems like it should have been thrown in years ago. As it stands, the first new Porsche to get the feature will be the 2013 911, with all Boxter, Cayman, Cayenne and Panamera models built after June getting the live traffic service as part of their in-dash satnav systems.

Still, better late than never, right?
