Do you love a good sing-a-long? Apple has the answer, with a new feature coming to Apple Music that allows you to adjust the volume of just the vocals to make a smartphone karaoke session a whole lot easier!
It’s called Apple Music Sing and it is what it says, all about singing.
Basically, we know Apple already has the best integrated Lyrics feature of a music streaming service, so now – through some magic or perhaps content deal, they’re making it possible to keep the music going but temper down the volume of the singer so you can take centre stage.
“Apple Music’s lyrics experience is consistently one of the most popular features on our service,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and Beats. “We already know our users all over the world love to follow along to their favourite songs, so we wanted to evolve this offering even further to enable even more engagement around music through singing. It’s really a lot of fun, our customers are going to love it.”
Sing includes the ability to adjust the vocal levels, see the real-time lyrics on screen but also the background vocals sung simultaneously cna be animated independent to the main vocals so you can be the backup singer not the lead.
There’s also Duet View where the screen will split and show lyrics of different vocalists on opposite sides of the screen to make it easier to sing along with a friend.
And of course, within Apple Music there will be a range of dedicated playlists, more than 50 are being created to feature epic songs, anthems and really find those songs you want to raise a voice to!
Apple Music Sing launches later this month worldwide, but not for “voice plan” subscribers. And, it will work on Apple TV 4K as well as iPhone and iPad too – so that’s going to be a fun party!
